What a gem of a documentary. Great comments by those who were there and now I feel have been let down by the subsequent generations of Pakistanis.

The Pakistan Flag:

There was a natural reaction and josh of the time when the Anthem was sung in the days of the past. The emotions were always attached to it. Nowadays you go to a Pakistani function where they play the national anthem, and rarely do you see anyone bothered. Those talking continue talking without a regard for the anthem. Those sitting, continue sitting without a bother. Its quite sad.

The other day, I came across the Pakistan National Anthem conducted by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra. I must admit its the best rendition of the Pakistani anthem by anyone that I have heard until now. It really stirs you up. Those interested can get it off iTunes or Amazon. You can hear the sample here:

Download and turn it up on a good audio system and you will find the quality of it to be superb.
